Research & Publication

My research interests are Political Psychology and Political Communication in the context of American Politics. I am particularly interested in how emotions play a role in political decision-making. My dissertation focuses on how emotional reactions to political events influence media habits of partisans and how this relationship is related to affective polarization. I am also interested in using machine learning methods to analyze text and audiovisual data. As part of my fellowship at Wesleyan, I collect and analyze digital political ads using tools like AWS, GCP, SQL, BigQuery, R and Python.
